The Steel Dawn Update for Fallout 76 is less than two weeks away! With its arrival, the Brotherhood of Steel is planning to establish a renewed presence in Appalachia, and theyâre bringing an all-new questline with them. To help you gear up to take on the new story quests, weâve created a brief video that explores the Brotherhood of Steelâs history in Appalachia. In case you would like to do a little recon on the Brotherhood before they arrive, or if youâd just like a quick refresher on their past, you can watch the recap below to get caught up to speed.
Just like all of our previous game updates, Fallout 76 players will be able to experience the entirety of the Steel Dawn Update for free. Starting on December 1, you will be able to take on the new questline, build underground with C.A.M.P. Shelters, explore new locations, meet new NPCs, and add new weapon and armor rewards to your arsenal. Weâre also going to kick off Fallout 76 Season 3 with the Scribe of Avalon Scoreboard two weeks later, on December 15. Keep an eye on Fallout.com for even more details about the Steel Dawn Update and Season 3 as we get closer to release.
Our sensors have detected a new wave of underground activity in recent days, which can only mean one thing: Treasure Hunter Mole Miners are about to breach the surface! We believe they are planning to resume scouring the Wasteland for riches early next week, and itâs up to you to stop them. Track down Treasure Hunter Mole Miners throughout Appalachia starting on Tuesday, and donât let up until they retreat back into the depths. Be sure to pick up the Mole Miner Pails they drop to reclaim some of the fortunes and exclusive Plans theyâve plundered for yourself. If youâd like, you can also visit Vendors around Appalachia to purchase Empty Mole Miner Pails using Caps. Take those Empty Pails to a Tinkerâs Workbench to craft full ones, which you can open to get even more rewards. Check the event start and end times below so that you donât miss out on any treasure.

Welcome back to Inside the Vault!
This week, weâre sharing a new trailer for the Steel Dawn Update, which you can watch to meet Brotherhood of Steel members you will encounter as you quest around Appalachia. Weâve also updated our Community Calendar to include important dates that you may want to keep in mind as the year comes to a close. Finally, weâve got a reminder for you about a pair of in-game events happening this week in celebration of Fallout 76âs second birthday.
Ad Victoriam, Vault Dwellers! The Brotherhood of Steel, led by Paladin Rahmani, are going to return to Appalachia in the Steel Dawn Update, which is coming to Fallout 76 on December 1. Alongside their arrival you will be able to experience the first chapter of an all-new Brotherhood of Steel questline, meet new NPCs, explore new locations, and even earn weapons and armor from the Brotherhood arsenal. Watch our latest Steel Dawn trailer to get acquainted with Paladin Rahmani, Knight Shin, and Scribe Valdez, learn more about their mission, and get a taste of whatâs in store for you when the new questline arrives.
As with all of our updates, Steel Dawn will be free for all Fallout 76 players. If you would like, you can also pick up bonus in-game digital items by purchasing the Brotherhood Recruitment Bundle at launch. It will include items you can build to transform your C.A.M.P. into a stronghold thatâs fit for a Paladin, like the Brotherhood Scouting Tower, Barricade, and Barracks Locker. Youâll also get the Brotherhood Reclaimed Power Armor Paint, Tactical Field Pack, and a Salute Emote so you can show off your dedication when youâre on the move.
The Brotherhood Recruitment Bundle will be available for purchase separately using real money, or as part of the Steel Dawn Deluxe Edition of Fallout 76, which also contains the full game.
