One of the things we love best about video games, and strive for in every game we create, is that you can make them your own.
Not just in the way you play them, but your ability to change them.
Our modding community has been an enormous part of our games for over 20 years, and it’s always been our long-term goal with Fallout 76 to give you your own servers to customize for yourself and your friends. After much iteration, we’re thrilled to reveal an exciting new system that’s just the beginning for creating all-new experiences designed by you – Fallout Worlds.

WHAT IS FALLOUT WORLDS?

With Fallout Worlds, your imagination is the limit when under the sky of your own personal Appalachia. Utilizing a wide list of customizable settings, players can construct C.A.M.P.s in previously restricted areas or even remove the need for electricity to establish a builder’s paradise. Love Fallout 76’s survival mechanics? You can double down on braving Appalachia’s untamed wilds by changing the PVP rules and difficulty settings. And those are but two examples of what’s possible in Fallout Worlds.

Combine unlimited combat AP and infinite ammo to become a mighty wasteland warrior, configure creature spawns for serious big game hunting, control weather effects such as fog, nuclear radiation, or even Quantum Storms, turn on absurd jumping heights (just remember to turn off fall damage), enable ragdoll physics, change the height limit on settlements…all this and more are yours to play and experiment with as you see fit.
And yes, this list of customization options will continue to expand!

When you start the game after the update in September, you’ll be introduced to two brand new modes as part of Fallout Worlds: Public Worlds and Custom Worlds.

PUBLIC WORLDS FOR ALL!

Public Worlds are a rotating series of Fallout Worlds experiences available to all players. Hand-crafted by the team at Bethesda Game Studios with input from the Fallout 76 community, each Public World uses a different combination of Fallout Worlds’ settings to bring you a unique play experience.
This offers everyone in Fallout 76 the opportunity to see for themselves what’s possible in Fallout Worlds, as well as inspiration for their own creations with Custom Worlds.

TAKE FALLOUT WORLDS INTO YOUR HANDS WITH CUSTOM WORLDS

Custom Worlds completely evolves the personalization of Fallout 76’s existing private servers, granting active Fallout 1st members full access to Fallout Worlds’ settings and features to build their own personalized Appalachias.

While players can experiment like a mad scientist to their heart’s content solo, Custom Worlds is also a blast to share with others! Invite your friends and teammates to your Custom World and they can join in on the fun even without a Fallout 1st membership.

WE’RE ONLY GETTING STARTED

We’re committed to bringing even more customizable options and ways to play to Fallout Worlds with eyes on the feedback of the Fallout 76 community. Our goal is giving players the ability to transform Fallout 76 into, as the name implies, their very own world.
Get your first taste of Fallout Worlds when the feature hits the Public Test Servers today. For players seeking out more information, we will have more details to share regarding Fallout Worlds made available at a later date. Whether you’re craving your own immersive roleplaying server, impressive personal fortress, wacky platforming level or whatever else your imagination conjures, we can’t wait to see what the Fallout 76 community brings to Fallout Worlds.
Like we said, this is just the beginning.

In this week’s Inside the Vault, we’re sharing some preliminary information about our plans for the next playtesting phase in the Public Test Server (PTS). We’ve also got details for you on this weekend’s “Hunt for the Treasure Hunter” event, as well as how you can earn double the S.C.O.R.E. from your Weekly Challenges this week. Read on to learn more.

THE PUBLIC TEST SERVER REOPENS SOON!

76 Banner TV 750x300

We can hardly believe that the Steel Reign Update has already been live for a full week! We’ve been having a blast taking on the new Brotherhood of Steel questline, ranking-up on the Season 5 Scoreboard, and crafting legendary items alongside all of you. Now that these new quests and features are available, we’re looking ahead toward our next major Fallout 76 update, which we’re currently targeting for release in September.

We haven’t yet discussed what’s in store with the September update, but it will include a significant new feature that will give players even more variety in how they choose to experience Fallout 76. We’re shooting to re-open the Public Test Server this month so that the community can dive into this new feature and begin sharing their feedback with us as soon as possible. While we can’t share details just yet, please keep an eye on Fallout.com next week to learn everything you need to know, as well as how you can join the fun in the PTS.

TREASURE HUNTERS RETURN!

76 Banner TreasureHunter 750x300

We’ve been detecting an unusually high volume of subterranean movement this week, and we currently believe that Treasure Hunter Mole Miners are once again preparing to breach the surface. Put a stop to their plundering plans by seeking out and taking down as many Treasure Hunters as you can this weekend. Each will drop some legendary loot and a Mole Miner Pail, which you can open to reclaim some of the riches they’ve scavenged. Additionally, Vendors at Train Stations will sell you Empty Mole Miner Pails in exchange for some Caps. Use them to craft and open full Mole Miner Pails for even more loot. The event begins a little later today, and you can catch the exact start and end times below.

HUNT FOR THE TREASURE HUNTER WEEKEND
  • Event Start: 12:00 p.m. ET on July 15
  • Event End: 12:00 p.m. ET on July 19

DOUBLE YOUR S.C.O.R.E.

76 Banner Season5 750x400

Fallout 76 Season 5 is well underway, and K.D. Inkwell is sharing a piece of technology that will help you time warp through the Scoreboard quicker than ever! This week, you’ll find three extra Weekly Challenges to complete, and we’ve doubled the S.C.O.R.E. from all of your Weekly Challenges so that you can rank up and earn your Season rewards twice as fast. The extra Weeklies and double S.C.O.R.E. rewards will last until Challenges reset at 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 20. Be sure to log in and complete as many Challenges as you can over the next few days to rank up as much as possible.

We hope you’re enjoying the Steel Reign Update, and we can’t wait to share more with you about what’s next for Fallout 76 next week. Until then, we’ll see you in Appalachia.

Bethesda Statement Regarding Broken Weekly Challenges

With Steel Reign came some bugs – they’re aware of this one – from the Official Bethesda Discord!

Hey everyone! We’ve seen the reports on the Weekly Challenges being completed already, we’re sorry for the trouble! We can’t replaced the complete challenges for this week, but we’re going to make it up to everyone. We’re going to double the rewards from your Daily Challenges this weekend (July 8 – 12), and next week we’re planning to add some bonus Weekly Challenges as well. This way, you will be able to earn as much S.C.O.R.E. as you would have if all your Weeklies were available today.

Love, Always,

SinSeer
